Putrajaya Night Run

Setinggi-tinggi penghargaan kepada Counterpain dan GU energy gel. Saya lari tanpa henti walaupun tak laju.

7.7km, 1 jam 10 minit.

Pacing baik-baik ye sebab tak train, asal sampai finish line dengan tak berenti berjalan kaki.

Saya dapat nomot 2 hanya 5 minit belakang HRH Ki-Moira. Potong Nonz, yeheheeeeee.

Kudos to ahli kumpulan baru, Cik Ezwin Haida yang sangat menceriakan pengalaman berlari terutamanya semasa sesi bergambar.

Okay, Energizer Night Run nanti mau masuk 10.5km x 4 relay kah?

Upset on Tuesday Night

RESPECT: Part I
There are reasons why people are expected to have in their resumes terms like 'team player', 'ability to work in a team', or even better 'independent but a great team player'. Because when you are with an organisation, be it for profit or not, you are EXPECTED TO WORK AS A TEAM. You are not the only one with a fancy qualification - almost every person around you has one. So if you find yourself strutting your ass around town dissing your team mates to external parties, just stop ok?? Hurl insults to them all you want but keep it within the walls. You think you're a gem in the public eye now that you've covered your ass but in reality you just bring shame to the tribe you (supposedly) represent.

Have some respect for people. Be a team player for once.

RESPECT: Part II
You may not have so much expectations when it comes to religion. You may not impose certain expectations on other people towards your religion. Perhaps you don't really care or you religion doesn't expect much from you. But the person next to you may have things the other way round. If that person cares enough to nicely request that you oblige to a certain religious demand, just show some respect and say OK.

I am not one helluva religious person but I'm really disturbed when I get questioned why I NEED TO ACCOMMODATE TIME FOR PRAYERS. Yes, I am super pissed off now. With so many friends of different races and religions, never have once I encountered such nuisance.

Oh yeah. No wonder. You're not a friend.
Even then, respect people la oi!

*Am helping myself to bowls of decadent ice cream to ease the angst*

Biological clock tick-tocking (gasp!)

My current options:
  1. Curi anak orang ie anak fied/wale
  2. Consider Punitha's suggestion of paying bookie fee to some "Agents" at the HKL for an unwanted newborn.
  3. Umm...errrrr....go beyond hinting to a certain someone to ummm...errrrr....you know....

(So you're just too busy?)

I wonder if "someone" faraway out there is like Lo-Fi Penguin here. I wish I'm Susi :(

For pretty neat toy camera shots and a dose of a husband missing his wife in a sincere feel-good way, go to http://lofipenguin.wordpress.com/

Excuses are meant to be made up

BUSY is not an excuse for laxity on working on a certain commitment you have made.

Screw BUSY.

Take some time to ponder and read the following article by Chris Guillebeau:

Sorry I was rude to you the other day, someone said. I’ve just been so busy.

Guess what: we’re all busy!

Every one of us. It’s not a very exclusive club.

And here’s another reality check: because we’re all busy, no one really cares about how busy someone else is. One way or another, we all make time for what’s important to us.

In a group project, a person who freaks out about being busy will stall, defer, and generally keep everyone else waiting on them. They use busyness as an excuse for poor performance. Sometimes it’s faster to put this person in a room by themselves and let them whine while you do their job for them.

A person in control of being busy will keep the project moving forward at all costs. They like deadlines, direct communication, and tough assignments. That’s the kind of person you want on your team. If you’re serving on someone else’s team, that’s the kind of person you should be.

The strategies for dealing with being “so busy” are pretty basic:

1) Be less busy. If being busy really prevents you from doing something you want, stop being so busy. It’s not that complicated.

2) Stop complaining and enjoy it. Personally, I like busy. I had fun visiting the islands last week, but islands can be sleepy little places. In Fiji I sat by the pool for an hour, but then I got bored and went back to working on my projects.

I wrote to Pam, my partner on the upcoming $100 Business Forum: “What do you think about starting three weeks early?”

Pam wrote back: “Bring it on!”

And thus we’re starting on February 1 instead of March 8. I already knew she was the right partner for this project, but that was good confirmation. Busy people tend to do more, not less — but either way, being “so busy” that you become overwhelmed doesn’t help anyone.

It can be uncomplicated if you want it to be

It's all about a clear conscience. About forgiveness. About moving ahead. Sincerity. Dengan niat untuk masa hadapan yang lebih baik untuk semua.

It feels good to be at a better place.

Amin...

p/s: I believe that this post is obsolete. Insyaallah :)

Support System

Jika yang disayang itu ada 'accessibility issues', maka seseorang yang volunteer untuk jadi surrogate itu adalah sangat mulia dirinya.

Terima kasih HRH Ki-Moira. 3 tahun ini saya sangat perlu kamu. I Laf Yu.
