The non-frequent flyer

Go away I don't want you anymore

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. So may I call a dream 'nightmare' because the content is just as sad and frightening?

You think you have healed but in fact you haven't.

You think you have moved on but in reality you have dragged your sorry ass only one inch.

Your mind doesn't wanna remember but the thing is, your heart never forgets.

You think you're really strong. You're just living in great denial.

This hurts.

Kuat hati, lebih kuat berlari. Kuat berlari, hati jadi semakin kuat.

Results are out.
No. 262 out of 296 non-veteran women runners. No. 385 out of 425 women runners.
Obviously the makciks are better than moi. Dang.
Need to buck up on training.

Both knees need good rest now. After two weeks I MUST work hard on strength training. Never in the world would I imagine that I'll get ligament injuries. The jab has worked wonders, so do the ubat-ubat terkawal from the doc. Cheh, macam pro athlete la konon cedera bersukan teheheheeee ;P

You believe in me like no one else does

Aaahhh.....somehow I knew that if could do 15k, I'll definitely be able to do the 21.1k next month. Thank you Ki-Moira for, again, making me commit to another (distance) milestone that I never thought is achievable. Ingat tak I wanted only reg for 5k fun run in SCKLM last year but you made me reg for 10k and I did it within the cut off time? *terharu*

So here's to my BFF who share with me the same injury, blister spots and other pains only both of us know and understand:

YOU HAVE WON YOURSELF A NEW PAIR OF 'NIKE ELITE RUNNING LIGHTWEIGHT SOCKS' WORTH RM26 - HURRAY TO BLISTER-FREE RUNS!!!!

Babe, tunggu I kat gerai pisang masa SCKLM nanti ye? :')

Hahahahaha, I know they're nowhere as posh as a Proenza Schouler tote but I soooooo know she would appreciate 'em more :)

*HUGS*

All set for my first 15k

Yea cokelat itu pembakar semangat. Jurulatih kata makan cokelat takpe, makan kek jangan.

Now maybe I should have bought a pair of crutches instead of knee bands...

I must not BIM Mira Ezwany every four seconds.

Happy Salary Proliferation Day

When I was earning a measly RM5 per hour, I loved my job to death and I looked forward to working on May 1.

RM5 x 8 hours 8 x 3 = RM120 gross

Add to the equation the potential of pocketing additional RM45 of OT due to the crazy stream of yuppies/rich kids into the java joint on a public holiday.

Point being? Labour Day used to be a lucrative business.

These days I'm expected to spend my labour day at the office at the same salary rate but with extra workload and potentially ripping my heart out because the stream of yuppies/rich kids into the java joints are still steady yet I ain't part of the partay.

Sad. Also because I'm no longer employed by a certain java chain. And I really miss the anticipation of the triple pay day. It only comes once a year and only applies to those really doing the manual labour.

Yeah. Honour labourers. They're the only ones who truly appreciate the holiday.

(Can you tell who's depressed about work now? Guess! Guess! Woohooo!)
